So, I was wondering who the Ivory King from the DLC might be...

Since this DLC is a Trilogy, and the Ivory King being the last episode, I thought that he must be someone really important in the Dark Souls 2 universe. However, we've never even seen a single mentioning of him in any items, and the only thing that might be related to him is the Shrine of Winter, since in the trailer the area seems to be a frozen tundra.

So I continued wondering who this Ivory King is, and I just realized; wasn't there a king that we didn't put a lot of emphasis on? The king itself didn't really do much, but his people definitely left a mark on Drangleic. Heck, half of the story of Dark Souls 2 is because of them, and we don't even know much of them.

Yeah, I'm talking about the Giants, and the Giant Lord. If you look at them, although they are dressed in rags and leather, they definitely are dressed up to live in a cold climate with their long skirts and pants. Also, the Giants and Vendrick have a very close but hostile relationship; Vendrick stealing something precious from the Giants, and the Giants became completely enraged, attacking Drangleic across the seas for generations. The fall of Drangleic and the end of Vendrick was triggered because Vendrick went to the land of the Giants, so it is definitely one of the most important events in Dark Souls 2. It would be worthy of a conclusion of the trilogy of the lost crowns.

If the thrid DLC is the Land of the Freakin Giants during Vendrick's invasion, and the Ivory King being the previous Giant Lord, but way more badass and difficult (probably being White since the Japanese translation is the 'White King'), I will kiss the From Software logo for each meal. I mean, personally the Last Giant left the best impression from all the bosses, so I definitely would love more Giant bosses.

Since many DLCs and areas in game, have something similar to DS1, like DLC1 is like catacombs with kalameet, DLC 2 has arthorias theme, can we expect to see painted world of aramis as next reincarantion on DS1 areas, will we learn something more about our maiden? Some say she is Percila from DS1 only in another cycle.

whatcho talkin' bout? i've only seen a release trailer from when the sunken king came out, there's a heide knight in the beginning but that's just cause they re-used video from one of the release trailers

that showed just one screenshot of the other two dlcs, for the iron king it was the throne you find at the top of the brume tower, for ivory it shows a frozen landscape

Best of all, it will finally have a purpose other then being a incredibly small filler area between shaded woods and drangleic castle with only 4 enemies, a few items, and a rather boring short-lived journey!

But seriously remember how both 2 shrines to enter the 2 dlcs were surrounded by 4 stone tablets with writing on? well shrine of winter has the exact same 4 tablets surrounding it so yeah it is DEFINITELY gonna be the entry shrine for the Crown of the Ivory King dlc.

And the fact that you need to beat all 4 great soul bosses to access it hints at it definitely being the most difficult.

I have a feeling that it is Anor Londo far in the future. Maybe the giants were reincarnations of the actual giants that were birthed during the flame. The chosen undead from Ds1 killed Gwyn and sacrificed himself. Maybe this reincarnated the giants into their rocky counterparts? They came back to Anor Londo to try to reinhabit it, but there was no sun, and it got cold. I honestly have no clue, but this is my theory
