Bonfire ascetics not working?

I was trying to do NG+ Freja togehter with a dude of mine. We both used bonfire ascetics on the chapel entrance.

But the boss fog gate for Freja isn't appearing. Doesn't bonfire ascetic work on certain bosses? Or do we need to use another bonfire for that?

Try doing the bonfire at Lower Brightstone.

OOoooOOOOo. Wrong bonfire man. Lower Brightstone bonfire is next to Ornifex. Use the ropes to get to the door where you can take a ladder down to it in order to unlock the door below.
