Door locked in earthen peak

Hi guys somehow to door that shows the access to the NPC that sells ladders is blocked by some kind of prison door, I dont know how to open it, do someone know?

One door can be locked with a wall lever, perhaps you locked it.

Thats it, but the minion locked it, then I died and cant get back, is there any way I can open that thing again?

it doesn't really block the route to him, just makes it a little longer, go up and around and head back down explore and tug on levers

I dont understand, where should I go?

If you've burned the windmill so all the gears etc. have stopped moving, you can drop down into the area where the fan in the floor was spinning. Should put you on the side you want to be on.

Wait, are all the gears supposed to stop moving?
They didn't stop when i burned the mill.

its dark souls, figure it out, explore, it can be done,

and also there isn't too much point to the NPC, he shows up in Majula whether you talk to him or not, you can get a piece of twinkling titanite and something else from his ladder ther, but thats it rilly

I don't remember if they all stop moving but some certainly do and the fan in the floor stops spinning. The poison should have drained as well.
