Cheating in DS2

Hi, is it possible to cheat in DS2? Some players invading me are literally immortal. I cannot do ANY damage to them, with ANY type of damage (fire, magic...). They are backstabbed, lying on the floor, but with no change in their health. I was summoned to another player, we were three against one dark spirit, but we made NO damage to him. Is it possible?
I am lvl 225, NG plus.

Not only do they exist, they sometimes overrun an area. Heide's tower seems to be a fun griefing area for hackers.

Just today I had a guy instantly kill me from 50 feet away then teleport behind. I had been co-opiong with a friend all night and had zero lag issues. Coincidence? No.

Evern WORSE, I had a guy invade and instantly kill himself giving me me 500,000 souls. However, because I can has brain, I rolled back my character to a previous save made 20 minutes prior.

That's what you have to do: Keep save backups because hackers WILL ruin your progression.

Yup, sounds like classic infinite health hack. Some people confuse successful dodging with "hacking" since you hear a HIT noise, but the opponent was rolling at the time and takes no damage. If you hit and stagger someone, numbers appear above their head, but their health bar doesn't move, they're cheating. Kite them to a bottomless pit and knock'em in if you can. Hackers are *terrified* of gravity.

I had a hacker last night just getting ready to kill giant when I was invaded by a full haval setup at soul level 15 I ran around a bit then he fell off the map I recieved 495000 souls from him.
The game got real easy after that lol

i dont get why ppl hack in Dark Souls 2 or try to get tons of souls easy etc... the fun part of the game is the challenge , if Dark Souls (first or second) was easy they wouldnt be fun, they would be same boring crap that Call Of Duty is

Its usually becuase they are lazy or just really bad at games.
I have a mate who hacked ds1 becasue he just couldnt play it but wanted to explore the world i did try explainging to him that he has missed the whole point of it but alas deaf ears.
And some people are just total sh*ts who like to mess up other peoples adventures.

I've reported an absolute obvious infinite hp/stamina-cheater 2 months ago (several ppl of my friendlist to) and i'm still meeting him.

reports are only for the statistics... look up in the faq

Weird, i reported a blue invader that dropped 500k souls after invasion, and he was snapbanned (he wasnt even showing on my recently met players anymore)

500k souls drop are possible. iirc, you get ~ 1/3 of the souls that he spent on his last level up. not 10%. and the 1/3 matches the drop that got an friend from me after an duel.

The worst part is that if you make them fall to their death you get an insane amount of souls, and that can kinda screw things up if you care about your SM level. But I must admit that invading the same afk cheater twice with a blue orb and making him fall to his death felt AWESOME.

But yeah, keep reporting cheaters, it's the only thing you can really do against them.

Ofcourse it's possible, but not when your soul memory is 3 million. You need to be level 800+ for that drop amount..

Of course it's possible, but I never use it in multiplayer...

I have that experience too. One of the invaders fell down from the cliff and I obtained more than 400k souls.
Should not there be some VAC protection? Why the game is vulnerable from hackers? I consider playing offline some parts of the game and making backups of my savegames too. I am disappointed about some people.
