Greater Lightning Spear worth it?

So I just got my Lighting Spear and I am loving it. It makes some of the more annoying enemies pretty easy. It even feels like its good in PvP, I wreaked a guy with it my very first match (we where on a narrow ledge, so it was kinda like shooting fish in a barrel, but still). So I gotta ask, is Great Lighting Spear worth the extra 20 points? Other than maybe Sunlight Blade, I really don't have a reason to go that high.

Great Lighting spear is very good spell you can hurt them with 800-1200 dmg on all mobs, u can hurt player pretty hard too but its almost useless to use in pvp... it is very easy to roll out of the way unless you chamelon yourself and catch suprise on invader with greatlight spears

In PvP its to long of a cast, in PvE its close to a must have as its damage is massive nonetheless

Great LS is fantastic. If you like LS, you'll be inclined to keep putting points in FTH to scale the damage, as it will be useless on later enemies, and at higher levels, otherwise. And so you'll definitely wanna get Great; it's the bread-and-butter of my FTH build.

It's literally the best offensive spell in the game. And you can get 3 of them in one playthrough. It is 100% worth it.

A Sunlight spear is something like 1.4x the damage of a greater spear. But with lower faith you will probably have a bit less lightning damage for it to scale off, so it might be a little less than 1.4. :D

It's not so much the requirement, it's the low amount of casts and underwhelming extra damage, compared to GLS. It takes 2 slots, and its use may down a boss in 4 - 5 casts, as apposed to 5 - 6 just using GLS.

Not much. Your damage at such a high FTH is more dependent on your chime than a few points in FTH.

I'm using the Dragon Charm, and as my vids show, I can sometimes 1 hit kill opponents, which is very satisfying.
