Staff of wisdom

Otherwise, early game, you shouldn't be using the Bone Staff. That stave is trash for sorceries as it's mainly a hex dedicated staff. I'd suggest using the Archdrake Staff infused with magic, because it's got decent sorcery stats despite being a hex staff. It requires you to have 15 INT to use, however.
There's also the Lizard Staff, which is dropped by the necromancers in the Executioner Chariot boss fight, but it's extremely rare. However, it's undisputedly the best sorcery staff up until you reach Shrine of Amana.
If you don't want to farm necros or invest points into FTH, then I'd suggest using the starting Sorcerer's Staff, which is decent for INT builds, or the Witchtree Branch, which is just like the Sorcerer's Staff but has a nice cast time.
