Moonlight ButterFly Gear poisons NPCs
What a terrible idea. I strolled next to the Firekeepers in order to use a soul vessel and before I was even there long enough to remember which one to talk too, that crazy maid starts chasing me around the kitchen with that ladle like I'm her cheating husband!

Hell I don't ever plan on even using the butterfly set. I just bought it to see what it looked like and to add to my collection.

I understand that you can reset your sin. I plan on doing it. It's just frustating that I even have to progress the game that far in order to reset my souls. I'm bored of my faith build.

If the NPCs isn't hostile those aura effects shouldn't affect them.

Take it more like a fart than an aura. Even if it's your friend, he's still gonna smell your fart !

My question here isn't about what you think of the aura itself, but rather the following: If you didn't plan on using the butterfly set, why did you not take it off before even leaving majula after looking at it? IMHO you kinda deserve what you got there for not being attentive.

That's not really the point of my complaint. I feel it shouldn't affect NPCs. What if I was planning on using it? Swapping out gear everytime I have to interact with someone would be annoying.

I've used the butterfly set myself, and in my experiences, you can get close enough to interact with npcs without actually setting off the aura effect. Unless it's been bugged for me, every time I've used the set, it only triggers when I actually TOUCH whatever npc/monster I'm interacting with in whatever form.

It's still an issue of being inattentive, which the souls series absolutely -loves- punishing for, in -any- situation. Again, not attempting to be hostile, just clarifying why my opinion is what it is.

That's a little of an over exaggeration. I enjoy the difficulty.

Moonlight ButterFly armor set is awesome, i didnt first know either that it poisons friendly NPCs. In result of wearing armor at Majula i was chased after by most people in Majula, it was hilarious xD
