Is Boxer/Fist Build Worth It?

Is using only your fist or fist weapons such as the caestus. Also is it worth it joing copany of champions, besides the rank rewards, do you get more souls, better drops? Does it make the game ng+ or no?

Well, since Poise is pointless anyway, you can stunlock people in Havels using Caestus. It seems to do an even better job at it than swords. I've had some Caestus users just completely taking me out without me being able to roll out of the lock, which is usually no problem against swords.

I'm not sure what exactly the company of champions does, but you can't summon anyone and the game is just harder overall. I doubt it makes a difference in drops etc.

If you want to just have fun, fists/caestus are pretty fun and borderline OP. If you play anyone good, which you probably won't, you won't have an easy time.

Click to win, basically. They're even ridiculous in PvE.

Duel caestus is fun, and combines good damage and speed at the cost of being able to block and having short range. I'd suggest doing a play through or two of it. Though the ring from the champions guild is too much of a pain so i say stick with the caestus rather than fist only.

Company of champions does make it harder, not quite newgame+ though. It disables coop summons, increases the health of enemies, and makes enemies hit you harder. No random red enemies though like it ng+.

Would it be possible to beat the game with caestus, their bsae damage sucks 45 and +10 normal 90.

I beat the iron keep pursuer with +6 caestus on my first try. That's not even me being good. They're just ridiculously good.

Well technically anything is possible to beat it with more or less. Caestus is actually really potent though since so much is weak to strike. Throw in a Stone Ring and Ring of Blades and it's actually really solid.

I'd say it's worth playing in Champions if you know the game already, adds some nice challenge, but the rewards.... Not really worth it unless you're really set on that unarmed ring. Although it is fun to use once you do get it.

I do believe it is stronger, although can't say I've really checked myself. Seen people say so though.

not really wanting to necro a thread this old but well... the vanquishers seal is more powerful than caestuses with 1 downside compared to caestuses. you can only have 2 extra weapoins/shields in the loadout since you can't go unarmed if you have 2 weapons for that hand in the loadout.
