Fire Resist Gear

so everyone generally knows the go-to fire resist set is Smelters Armor. a goood light-weight alternative ive found is the Hexers set. Is there another light armor set with better fire resist out there?

I don't think there's anything better than the Hexer's set you mentioned for light armor.

Just general sets for it, I have plenty of fire and dark resist to swap to as I deem necessary but dont know which sets to keep an eye out for for basic pve swappng

Well.. Black, Hexer, and Saint's set all have identical stats, except that each of them have an element they're particularly strong against.

Hexer's set = Fire
Saint's set = Lightning
Black set = Magic

Chaos set also has very similar stats, and is strong against TWO elements; Fire and Dark.

Grave warden armor (minus the mask) has pretty good all around resists.

You could always use a flame quartz ring +2 for pure fire resistance.

Llewellyn torso/arms/legs with or w/o*for fashion souls* manikin mask is a great balanced lightweight set with good defence (but no poise) *and also has nice fire res*

In pvp you won't even notice the lack of poise. I had 80 poise for ages with my first character, when I stepped down to 0 pvp didn't change one bit.

Exactly, I run the Llewellyn set myself, my character turned out to have a nice hair and face so I dont even use a helm, and with syans spear and the drakekeepers shield I just love how it looks *very nightwatch-esq from GoT* also fits in with the dark magic theme I have going on lol

Edit: Though i will say the dragon stone to make your head a dragon's, looks really sweet combined with the Liewellyn set :D

The Alonne Captain Set upgraded to +10 has the highest fire resistance in the game.
(And a lot of poise)
