What is the best magic spells available in this game ?? and what are the best equipment items(rings/gear/2nd and 3rd slot weapons)

Ive heard the straid set is the best due to its extra speed casting time..but the stats apart from that advantage are pretty crap.. is this really the best ?

rings are up for debate cause theres so many... but ive been thinking the INT ring and the FAITH ring along with attunement slots ring + ??


also with leveling up... is it the first levels that gain the biggest stat advantage over the late game leveling ? I dont know how it scales after a certain level..

Saints hood is better than Hexers for getting extra casts out of low cast spells. Hexer's gives 10% more casts, Sainnt's give +1 to al spells so it depends on whether you wan't to cast more of your low or high cast spells.

If you're talking DPS for PVE, just BA the second hidden BF in Aldia's keep and collect multiple copies of soul geyser. Get unleash magic from Navlaan, and spam that all day at bosses. Resonant spells make quick work of trash mobs. Again, this is just for raw damage. It's boring as ♥♥♥♥, and worthless in PvP.

Armour wise, the lion mage set from shaaded woods increases cast speed, while the hexer hood gives more casts of spells. Clear bluestone ring +2 is a must imo, along with chloranthy +2. I also used third dragon ring, just because + staamina and + equipload.

As for stats, If you have enough spice, drop geyser req. to 50-55. Pump int to that level, then attunment to 70-75(whichever it is for that 9th slot), and add some end for more casts per stamina bar, and adp for extra agi. if you aren't already at 100.

Soul Geyser is actually quite useless. It's VERY slow to cast and you have to be at the absolute perfect distance for it to do optimal damage. He'd be far better off farming Freja for Crystal Soul Spears, which are by far the best PvE Sorcery. Combine that with Great Resonant Soul and Sunlight Spears and you can massacre the game as some bosses are somewhat immune to 2 of those, but none are good against all 3.

Also, do not use gear which raises your cast speed as it only raises it by a tiny amount. That being said definately always use the Bluestone ring as it raises casts speed a ton, especially in it's +2 form.

Another thing for a caster is Attunement raises Agility, so unless you care about reists, do not waste many points in ADP. I have only 20 adp, but my agiliti is 113 because of my attunement.

Sorry, had to take recheck, it is 10% but it always scales up. So even a single cast spell gains an extra cast but at over 10 casts base you will gain 2 extra.

Hexers adds a minimum +1 spells to all spells you have attuned which makes it by far the best hood for a caster...

atleast Hexers Hood works well with Heide Chest/Legs.. thats what I use

I find the mage hoods to be the best looking helms in the game. Couple that with Lewellyns cloak or the Chaos cloak and you will look uber badass.

I actually really like the hexers hood. Goes well together with Kings or Velstadts armour.

Soul Spear Barrage and Soul Shower are horrible, Soul Greatsword on the other hand is amazing.
