Oddball weapons

So I love finding the low drop rate weapons and trying to use them, like Dragon Swords, Drakekeeper Swords, etc. (basically all the ultra rare drops)

so I was wondering if there are any other rare drops? Not from red NPCs, I'm aware of those. I'm more talking about weird weapons that drop from regular AI, such as the Manikin Claws that are a rare drop from some isolated enemies, etc.

Also, does anyone use the Drakekeepers (Ultra?) Greatsword and can tell me how it is? Its stats are lower than similar UGSs, but due to its rarity I'd love to use it if its worth it

Chaos Rapier? or something... from the undead abbomination in the cage, inside Aldias Keep. in the long hall way with the hippos(Ogres).

The Blue Flame is a cool weapon. Its casting speed is a little slow, so you need the ring that improves it, though.

Hadn't heard of this, time to farm for it

Any idea on its viability?

(And I have a Blue Flame, but I prefer miracles over sorceries atm. The only reason I'd want sorceries are for chameleon and for repair on a no bonfire run, but I already did my no bonfire run and Silver Talismans exist for hiding now. It just doesn't do enough damage or have access to good spells for me to care. I'd love it in a first or second playthrough as a sorceror though for PvE)

I had one lying around, and I've never farmed the UDCrypt (except for hte greatshield pair, but there were no blue flame droppers on that path), so I assume its not rare.

Then again I got the Old Mirrah Greatsword, Shadow Dagger, Shadow Mask, Mscimmy, and Warlock Mask on my first try on NG+ without any extra item discovery. I thought they were 100% until I found out later :P

get the pickaxe :D. gotta lead a piggy from the brightstone camp (first bonfire) ALL THE WAY to the very bottom, where the spikey floor is (bascally the place before the big room full of spiders and spider webs) it eats a mushroom and then ya get the pickaxe

Scales with Fire, and some other things.. but since it scales with Fire, I guess it's a good weapon for Pyromancers. I never got it for mine, and didn't want to burn all my asetic bonfire? thingies.. forgot their exact name as well... :D.. it's late in my timezone.. off to bed now... I wish you happy hunting. I'll check back in this thread tomorrow.

Absolutely blows knobs

It has the range, stamina usage, and damage of a hammer, while the speed and moveset of a greathammer

AKA

You'll never hit anything, and if you do, it won't do much.

I wish it was better, but tbh it just blows. I wonder what powerstancing them would be like.

its meant to suck... its a gimmcky weapon, like the ladle. its not meant to be used at all, just for fun. no need to be so negative about a fun weapon

Some weapons are "hidden" like Santier's and are just ABOVE god-tier, meanwhile Pickaxe just blows.

I'd like it to be good for what I had to go through to get it. (Did it on NG+4, wasn't very fun or fast)


I have (most) of the Drakekeeper weapons, just missing the UGS, wondering if it's worth farming for.

The sword/greataxe/warpick are imho the best of their respective classes (Counting Warpick as Halberd, not greathammer)

The greathammer isn't very good tbh, outclassed by others. I'd love it if it had the moveset the AIs used, but ah well.

Also the "special" shield the warpick drakekeepers use, the Greatshield of Glory, sucks. At least as a defensive shield, it's far inferior to the simple Drakekeeper Shield

well, its not ultra rare, but it does take a certain amount of luck to get it. But it seems you never discover the rarity of an item until you really want it. It is moderately rare, enough so that you will have about two or three full sets of ledya robes when you get one.

Ah I see. I wish I could trade that luck for luck on Drakekeeper gear :P (I've used more asthetics on the Shrine then i'd care to admite, and I'm on NG+5, I've cleared it twice for the last 3 playthroughs. I just got my first Sword yesterday, the last thing I need is the UGS)

Malformed Skull. I love this thing.
It's a decently rare drop from the 'improved undead' or whatever their weird name was - the giant ass half-scorpion hulking green guys down in the shallow waters in sinners rise. It's a GS that does immense damage, scales off nothing, has quite low str requirements if you two-hand, but the drawback is durability. It breaks within a few swings, but boy, do those swings count!
And it looks rad. Which makes it god-tier in Fashion Souls.

Damn, you snatched it before I could reply. Basically this weapon, it is probably one of the best twink weapons (also moderately possible to obtain early game without any bonfire As).
