Recommended soul level for ng+?
Just want to make sure I'm prepared for the horrors.

NG+ is seperate from NG. So once you hit NG+ it's all SM, SL means little to nothing there besides pvp but by ng++ you should be back with the crowd
(Anything past NG+ is the same server)

Anywhere from 90-180 seems about right for a normal playthrough. However, NG+ can be done with a level 1 character, provided you are clever enough. So, I wouldn't say there is a strict minimum to be safe there, just once you feel comfortable beating all of the NG content, move on to the NG+ content for more challenge.

Surprisingly NG+ isn't too hard. But it seems to get much harder at NG++ and beyond. An easy way to test it is you bonfire ascetic an area, and see how well you perform there. The ascetic turns that zone into NG+, so it gives you an idea how hard it will be.

It doesn't really matter to be honest. You will get so many souls from NG+ and forward that you will level out eventually.

Just try to have maxed weapons and you should be fine.

Very good suggestion (though he will not get some of the encounters from NG+ that way, he will get a feel for the difficulty spike, which is the largest spike in difficulty you will face from a + btw). I might suggest popping it somewhere in the early game where you had trouble to test if you are ready, or somewhere where you can farm something useful (FBoY, extra weapon you liked, dragon bone, whatever) for maximum effect.

you can always farm up to SL 300+ before you leave NG if you're scared. doesnt matter what difficulty you're on fast Giant Lords is fast xp

Was that with a true Co-Op partner, or randoms?

What do you mean? I farmed the Memory of Jeigh And you can't summon there. You get like 400k souls every time you complete that. And since there's a bonefire aestetic you have kinda infinite farming.
Wasn't sure where you were, I just know that without aestetics I'm not hitting those numbers, but I'm having to rely on bad players at least half the time, and bad latency another quarter.

Hmm, for me NG+ was easier than NG, so much so that I just stopped playing and started a new character. This was with a claymore-wielding, shieldless, magicless character. Everything just dropped in 1-2 swings.

go as high as you like, capping yourself doesn't help at all!

Well the things is that I finished the game with 1mil soul memory and 120 soul level. So I don't know if it's underleveled or not. But anyways I don't have much of a choice anymore since I kinda did an end game killing fest where I kinda accidently killed off every npc in majula. NG+ here we come.

You will be fine, just dump some points into stats and make sure your gear is upgraded and you shouldn't have an issue. 120-150 is prime pvp level range currently, many people reroll after that (and the ones that don't go on to extreme lengths), so just prepare wisely.

I'm well off in pvp, just wanted to know if it was a decent lvl for ng+
