Changing your character's name

Unfortunately for me, I've made a typo while typing my character's name...
And here I am 150 levels later, and I just realized my character is name "Bladrick".
Sucks, right?
So yeah, I'm pretty sure I can change my character's name with a cheat of some sort, but since DkS2 is now VAC secured, I was wondering if I'm going to get banned for that.

Yeah, I got that, but my question is; Do you get VAC banned for that?

Pretty sure anything that involves editing game files in any way is against the rules. Not sure if you can be banned for it, though. Probably can.

Listen. I'm tired of you going after me for the things I post. I'm trying to help people. You should do some homework and read things to understand them better. VAC picks up on cheats, and other things. I doubt it'd be able to pick up on someone editing their files to change a character's name. Such a thing is a small detail. And it's not that big of a thing, like cheating is.

Also, VAC is currently disabled. Which you would know if you did some reading. From is currently patrolling things from their end. Until they get VAC situated and making it so it won't ban people for using graphic mods. (Which is still under discussion between Steam and From.)

In the end, you're probably better off not editing your game files in any way. Just to be safe.

You can if you want, but there might be future consequences for doing so. Just so you're aware that something could happen. Not saying it will, but it's still a possibility. I'd say just beat the game on that character and make another one for a new playthrough.

Bladrick actually kind of fits the game still, it could a lot worse, I guess you were going for Baldrick?

Unless you're RPing a Baldrick from Blackadder character, I think Bladrick sounds better, just go with it.

I already did, but it's my PvP character. It wouldn't be an issue otherwise since no one sees your name in solo.

Well, I already finished it 4 times now, but I just got to level 150 and I serously don"t feel like restarting a new character. And it take me 20 frekin' hours to get a character to level 150... :c
