The DX9 version is nearly dead and you probabily won't ever get invaded in the first playthrough. I don't know about SotFS version.

There is no LAN mode.
Funny, I said the exact same thing about invaders the other night. If I'm hitting you for like 7% of your bar, and you're hitting me for 45%, what's the fun in that? The only significant amount of damage I did to an invader was with lightning bolt, because the invader was busy killing my friend. The invader then light attacked me for as much as my lightning bolt hit him. What's the point?
In my case, I just like playing fantasy games, and there really aren't enough action fantasy co-op games out there. Dark Soul's game play mechanics and world are awesome when you actually get to enjoy them, but that almost always gets ruined by a griefer. It's not fun, and I'm struggling to even be on the fence about buying Dark Souls II if I'm going to spend so much time just trying to GET to the co-op.
