Am I Evil? (aka, How To Make A 39K SM Twink)

If I were asked that, I'd answer: probably! But I'm genuinely curious what others think of the atrocities(?) I've committed.

Let me start out by saying that after the twink in those videos was completed, I have enjoyed every second of my time in Dark Souls 2. She is SL28, 39K SM, with a really obnoxious name to boot (GET SHT ON ♥♥♥). The videos detail the gear/build. Now, before you cry foul/cheat like many victims did, let me just say this is all 100% legit. No 3rd party programs were involved. I had to beat the entire game (including most of the DLC bosses) as a SL28 with only 85 agility, with the only piece of ugraded gear being a longsword +10. I'm not the most experienced or practiced Dark Souls 2 player. I suck at speedrunning and know only 2 shortcuts. Surprisingly enough, the Fume knight was one of the bosses I managed to 1-shot. However, plenty of bosses (Aava, Ivory King, etc.) took a lot of tries. It took over 20 hours to beat the game with Agape Ring on at SL28. It then took 20 more hours to then get all the gear and farm 198 CREOs (Cracked Red Eye Orbs). I had to farm 40 Ascetics from Darkdiver areas, then to spam ascetics on Sanctum City 1st bonfire, repeatedly picking up the 5 CREOs and 30 Magic Bolts (crossbow).

The effort I put into this twink was painful, tedious and relatively large. But, in my humble opinion, 110% worth it! I realize that non-stop spamming of 198 CREOs (and then copying the backup save) isn't exactly friendly to every single lowbie in Heide Tower. I realize it rates a 9001 on the Bad Manners Rating Scale Of Ill Intent. But hear me out, for I saw once again how petty humans can get over a video game. I saw firsthand how everyone, including new players, treats invaders. Constant 2+v1 WHILE chugging estuses/gems and then even running back to resummon more phantoms. 95/100 of ganksquads were chuggers, disconnecters and re-summoners. 70% of my invasions have been versus gank squads. I find it miraculous that I have won ~85% of all my invasions; huge shout-out to all the SL150 BoB arena streamers, your ♥♥♥-whoopings have not been in vain. In light of all this, I feel they all deserved every single death I gave them and every single minute of their time that I wasted (while greatly enjoying my own time).

Conclusion? Every time I get a craving for Dark Souls 2, I will:

• Resume spamming CREOs on my lowbie. This typically continues for 2-3 hours.

• Listen to epic rock/MDM (melodic death metal) music and headbang to each sick riff/guitar solo.
  
  
• Kill every single lowbie in Heide Tower. Within reason; if the host is solo, I will continue to wait for them to finish mob and heal (and drop Warmth and leave if they have trouble with them).

Over literally 100+ hours of using this SL28 twink, there have been only 8 players who displayed signs of sportsmanship:

• A host and 2 phantoms. They did not attack me all at once, but took turns. After I flawlessed the 1st two, the host waited for me to heal (I had half HP left). I was too surprised and touched to heal. I won with 1 hit left (~5% hp); he had an upgraded weapon, but he wasn't as experienced at PvP. I added them and complimented them on being good sports, wishing them luck if they get into PvP.
  
  
• A duo. Same as above, they took turns. I actually had to heal on this one, and I found out that they were both pretty experienced PvP-ers. Barely squeaked by.
  
  
• A blue invader (who shall remain unnamed) who won a lot of the duels we've subsequently had. One time, he counter-invaded me. The host and 1 other phantom were running up to me and started spamming magic missiles. The blue backed off and let me dodge at will. The blue then ran up to the host and spammed the 'no' gesture. After the 2nd 'no' the host and phantom got the idea and sat back and waited. I lost that one, with the blue having 1 hit left. I blame the spectators - I got nervous, haha.

Everything mentioned above is the reason I now play offline. I pre-ordered the game, had a lot of fun. Then the cheats and low level twinks came.

Killing 3+ undergeared players at a time, alone, while they chug estus/gems constantly and run away to resummon while their phantoms engage you and keep you busy. I didn't think it was possible to do it consistently, but apparently all the planning and thought I put into this specific twink makes this possible. Although, I'm 100% certain that to do this you have to be able to at least go 50% win rate against every good BoB sl150 streamer out there (no exceptions).

So, if you ask me what the most difficult part is (and why others don't do what I do), it's skill/awareness and what I call 'battle calm', combined with an interest to experience PvP beyond just the BoB arena duels.

So, if I had to answer thruthfully your implied question: 'Does this make you good?'. I'd say, yes, relative to other players, it most certainly does.

Thank you! I don't really play this game that often anymore, so if I continually force players to reconsider playing online even when I'm not there, that is indeed a significant ego boost. And TBH, I do think it's only fair that someone like me gets to invade online players; if they're going to cheese/easy-mode it with coop, then I am the balancing factor to that - I am the solution to them having it too easy.

As long as he isn't cheating while pvping, who cares? I'm just saying it would've saved a lot of time to cheat and get the same results.
Also, if you are beating three people at once, they obviously are new to the game or new to pvp. So, you are saying you are good at the game because you are using a skill to beat people without a pvp skill? Sorry, I disagree. I'd only say it was skill if you were beating people of similar gear and pvp experience.

No sweat off my back; my dream is not ruined in the least! And, I do believe I am the first to use it in such a manner. Yes, there are plenty of low-SM builds/twink GUIDES, but none have gone to the lengths I have and none have been used it in this manner. It's very likely that I'm the only one who has so far taken it to this level. Hence, the topic title (Am I Evil?).

If you insist that I'm wrong and think there are others who have done this, try to find vids out there that are even close to what mine portray. That means low SM character (< 50K), Heide Tower, non-stop gank squads AND clips that DON'T stretch out for 3-5mins fighting 2-3 same players. I finish all my fights very quickly, one way or another. My kills/minute ratio is through the roof. :) To repeat myself, that ~1hr of footage is now only about 0.5% of the (very similar) scenarios/wins I've been through. I remain too lazy to film/edit more, since there's no real demand. I have not seen other reds invade like I have; I am usually the only red there.

I have to admit~ I'm a lil' envious of you. I wanted to do something similar (minus the twinking part) but couldn't seem to get a legit fight after I got on a streak of sorts. If it wasn't infinite health hacks, it was lag bursts - if it wasn't lag bursts it was lag-stabs. Bravo OP, bravo.

Yeah, lag-stabs are always a problem (my vids show a few of them, inevitably). When players backstab you in PvP, they're backstabbing your so-called Invisible After-Image (which they see; they don't actually see YOU where YOU actually are). There really is no way to react to backstabs animations and roll away (as you would against normal attacks), because backstabs are actually grab/grapple attacks. You have to anticipate and roll a little early.

I hope so too! I don't get on often, but I might have a long DKS2 binge this Friday (day/evening Pacific). Got plenty of Guilty Gear/BlazBlue and MDM tunes on my latest playlist. :)

EDIT: Speaking of when I'm playing again.. Just realized this should actually be in the DKS2:SOTFS (Scholar Of The First Sin) forum, since that's the version my twink is in. Don't suppose a mod can move it there? >.>

You're kidding me, right? Going against 2, 3, 4 noobs with terrible gear compared to yours is nothing compared to dueling against an experienced player of YOUR soul level.

And if you were good enough to win 50% of duels against major streamers you'd not be doing what you're doing now anyway.
