There are 3 seperate DLC's, first one is out on the 22 July.

The season pass gives you access to all three as they become available without having to buy them seperately.

Think of it as pre-ordering all three DLC's, probably at a slightly lower price than having to buy all three by themselves.

By purchasing this Season Pass, you will get at discounted price the three additional chapters from the Lost Crowns Trilogy and start a journey through underground caverns spanned with stepped pyramids, a massive tower engulfed by black mist or an ancient temple wrung with freezing storms, towering walls and a hollow emptiness.

This quest will lead you through:
-Crown of the Sunken King
-Crown of the Old Iron King
-Crown of the Ivory King

Those 3 chapters will lead you to confront new fearsome bosses and hosts of new ennemies through entirely original areas and will respectively be released on July 22nd, August 26th and September 23rd.

Each DLC will be added to your Steam account as they become available.
The season pass requires "Dark Souls II™" to function.

any questions?

The season pass is practically a pre-purchase and bundle option for upcoming DLCs. If you buy it before the DLCs are released you'll automatically get them as soon as they're released.
How much DLC will be included depends on the game/publisher but it's usually mentioned in the discription of the corresponding season pass.

In this case you'll get 3 content packs (so called "chapters" of the Lost Crown Trilogy") which will lead you through new areas with new enemies and bosses and so on...

Those 3 "chapters" are supposedly going to be released on July 22nd ("Crown of the Sunken King", August 26th ("Crown of the Old Iron King" and September 23rd. ("Crown of the Ivory King")

In short: A DLC bunble with pre-purchase option.

EDIT: I feel slow. <.<

The DLC is not necessary to keep playing the game. It will just add extra content to the game that you won't have access to. Undoubtedly there will be an update at the time of release that makes it so everyone loads DLC weapons, spells, and armor into their game so there is no conflict, but only people with the DLC purchased will have access to them.

Not exactly. People who don't have the DLC will be able to place summon signs in the area where you would access the new DLC places, and their signs will carry over into the new areas.

So you can be summoned to do the DLC with someone who has it, even if you don't.

Now that 2 of the dlcs have come out (The last one will come out in 2-3 days or so if im correct), if you buy the season pass now, will you then get all the dlcs or will you simply get a discount?
