But for PvE/Co-op, HotS is a very nice covenant.
Rat covenant is just unfair and 99% of the time the ratbro wins. Way of Blue is pointless because of lack of invaders (in NG, it's unlikely you get invaded even once in the entire playthrough, except for NPCs).
The champion covenant is kind of interesting, but nothing special.
great for duels
and if host drinks estus - you can do it too
Bluebros are the worst.
yeah dragonbros are good too, only issue i had with Dragonbros was that lots of them did use ai enemies as shield or run away and left the my world
It seems if you actually want to duel forever, the dragonbros are the best. I haven't tried them yet, but I hear you actually become human by winning, meaning you can host dueling and fight clubs until your hollow, and then use a dragon eye to become human again without having to spend effigies.
The BoB can go die in a hole when it comes to rewards and actual benefits...
Honestly my opinion of the bell bros is divided, I love doing it when I need chunks, but I hate getting killed by them. Honestly, if you could calm them down, they'd make a fun fight club, the winner duels the host for a chance for a chunk.
Although, if you ever bell bro for chunks, try to set up your sign if they come back human.
Worst - Bell Keepers - Very few of them play fairly and love to exploit all the little minions for unfair advantages.
Rat One - So all the rats attack me when I am forced into invading them but not attack them? Yeah this is dumb.
actually, that covenant is cool for everyone! You don't lose any progress if you lose, and you can try a Dark Runner speed run to the boss bonfire for a chance to skip the entire area in your world. Trying to attack anything when your summoned by a rat bro is a bad idea, just run.
i would agree that Darklurker is one of the coolest and best designed bosses, i think he was designed so that theres only one at beginning so you can learn his attacks and then use what you learned against him when he splits in to two. And his one of the rare bosses that you cant win by hugging and circling around.
Rat covenant people can be huge jerks. Source: I was one once. For example: You can technically raise the enemies in the doors of pharros (only the ratbro covenant side) to ng+7 by beating the royal rat authority over and over with bonfire ascetics while still remaining at your soul memory by using the agape ring. Also if you are sorcerer, hexer, or pyromancer you can setup "traps" for the person being pulled into your world (casting homing crystal soul mass or affinity before they spawn in then just walking up to them while casting crystal soul spear or darkstorm to catch roll spammers. Also toxic mist or acid mist and then firestorm for pyromancers).
tl;dr magic users are the most dangerous ratbros
