Now, as for why he black crystaled...what gear were you using? I have heard some people say ont he forums that they would black crystal out immeditately if the person being invaded was a Havelyn, or a Havelmage, or a Helixodon user, so as not to give the person he's invading the satisfaction of winning and thus discourage the use of said builds.
As for invasions... i crystal out when I don't find the host. Sometimes I like to play the cat and mouse game, sometimes I don't. I never crystal out to run away though. that sounds lame.
I don't think it should receive a penalty though. It's not like he's alt f4 and he wouldn't lose anything if died anyway. besides, how would the game know the right time to punish the use of the black crystal?
The invader should expect the worst.
You don't lose anything out of death as a red phantom anyways.
Judging from the OPs other thread:
That was probably likely the reason why they did? Not that it's right to do or anything. quite the opposite, Havels are really fun to acid surge and corrosive urn, an oppotunity missed.
Quit blaming the items for people abusing them, folks. There's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that abuse things for the wrong reasons in every game across the board.
The item itself is fine as sometimes i get invaded right when i have to go so i use the crystal to send the invader back (although that happends rarely i fight each invader as long as its no Havelmage)
I know some people who do that to stop your SM being raised once the boss is almost defeated. Which isn't exactly groundless, but annoying if you don't want that, or are a Sunbro.
