How can i play dark souls 2 with a ps2 controller ?

Hi, i use to play with my 360 controller but for some reasons,during a few weeks i will have to play with a ps2 controller and an adaptor for ps3 and pc . The ps2 controller works fine with all my games but with Dark Souls 2 the controls are completely scrambled . I can't move the camera with the right joystick , the R2 instead of doing the strong attack opens the menu, to move the character you have to move the left joystick as usual but the character also does the strong attack with it...so , its completely unplayable, and i can't change them in the options or anywhere else .

Is there any way to make it work as normal ? Thanks

Use a control pad editor. There's ones that change PS3 controller controls, to say, 360 controller controls for example. I'm not about which ones are good and which aren't though.

I tried to but didn't work , some controls were good now but the movement was still the same so if i try to move i also hit at the same time so its unplayable.

Let me get this clear... So youre trying to use the actual ps2 controller to play Dark Souls 2 by connecting it to PC via ps3 controller adapter? Correct?

nope, what i tried to say its that the adapter works for ps3 and pc

Yup. I do it. I use a Dealextreme Ps2 to USB adapter and x360ce

Works wonderfully.

That's for PS3 pads. PS2 pads work wonderfully with ps2 to usb adapters. And x360ce.
