Secrewed out of 2 Soul Vessels?
Early on I found the Majula mansion chest and instead of getting a soul vessel i got a a divine blessing. Didn't think much of it at the time as I didn't need it.

Now that I do need one I opted to get the one in the Lost Bastille. I pop the lockstone in, go through its illusionary wall and find a chest that was already open with no soul vessel.

Is this a bug or has dark souls found a new way to torture people?

That chest in lost bastille is accessible from up top with a cage/elevator, so maybe you had already opened it...

The chest in the majula mansion used to contain a soul vessel, until some time ago fromsoftware decided to start an event that will last until the first dlc release: every week the chest will contain something different, with a secret item the final week, and after that I hope it keeps containing a soul vessel.

I didn't get the soul vessel in lost bastille from the top. I remember thinking I could try to jump down but decided not too. I guess I got to hope for the majula chest to have a soul vessel soon.

Crestfallen Saulden gives one to you if you talk to him after you bring enough npcs back in majula, and I think there's another one in drangleic castle where the milfanito is being held... or check the wiki lol.

Eventually the majula chest has a soul vessel in it. You have to open it several times though.

If you disconnect your internet and go to the mansion the Soul Vessel should still spawn in the chest in offline mode. You might need to rest at the bonfire or exit to the menu and load your character again a couple of times before it shows up.

Alright thanks for the suggestion guys.

It would be pretty cool (and a pretty douche move) if this is some elaborate ploy to torture the player base even more.

The Majula chest gives you different things.

I've gotten a soul vessel, titanite, and divine blessings before (on seperate characters xD)
