Shadow set drop rate broken?

So I'm on NG+ and I'm trying to farm the Shadow set from the Nimble Shadows that spawn in the Flexile Sentry boss fight. So far I'm only one piece away from the full set... And yet I don't seem to be getting any drops of it.

I've got, now:

5 Shadow Daggers.
6 Shadow Masks.
10 Shadow Tops.
8 Shadow Gauntlets.

I haven't had a single drop for the Boots or the Malformed Claw items. Literally none.

I'm wearing the Prisoners top, the Symbol of Avarice, the Watchdragon Parma and the Covetous Gold Serpent Ring+1 alongside breaking rusted coins every now and then to boost my find chances, and I'm getting drops every 2-3 resets, but I'm not getting any boots or any claws.

Is this normal!? Do the boots and claws just have an absurdly low drop rate or is something broken here!?

To have higher Item Discovery,you need Prissoner's Hood and Gold serpent ring +2

the boots arent in there... Igot em from a drop somewhere else.

As far as I know, the only place the Nible Shadow enemies spawn is in that boss fight. They spawn elsewhere in Scholar of the First Sin, but I'm playing the original Dark Souls II here so that's the only place.

And every guide I've looked at has said that the only place to get these items is from those enemies.

what NG are you on. If I remember correctly NG+ is best to farm on. NG++ is ok too if you have all the item drop gear on + the item used.

I have the best drop gear I can get (until I kill the Belfrey Gargloyels and get the gold serpent ring +2 of course.) but I've farmed the ones in the boss room for over 6 hours straight.

Again, I've gotten multiples of every peice except the boots and the malformed claw. I've beaten the boss now and I'll go back and burn another aestetic at the bonfire later, in the hopes that it will reset the drop rate.

drop rate also rises with bonefire intensity

You could always spawn them in with cheat engine if you're having a tough time, you won't get softbanned for that

Drop rate does not increase with bonfire intensity, however.
You need to sit at the bonfire once in a while to reset the item pool.

I assume you farm by entering fog gate, killing the two then quitting out.
Sit at the bonfire or use aged feather to reset item pool.

Each cycle they only have 3 possible drops.

are you shure? i thought i find much more stuff in higher ng's than during the first playthrough

I did reset at the bonfire a few times, actually, to replenish my estus/item durability along with the occasional death. Not once did this seem to affect the drop rate or item pool.

Like I said, I farmed for a good six or so hours and got plenty of drops during that time. It's just that I only ever got the helmet, gloves, top or dagger. I never got the boots and I never got the malformed claw, bonfire resets or none.

In addition, since starting new game plus I have actually noticed an increased drop rate. In Huntsmen's Copse, for instance, in my first playthrough the fat sickle-weilders never dropped anything. In my NG+ playthrough I've gotten two crescent moon sickles within the first hour of being in there.

Maybe I'm just lucky, but it definietly seems like I'm getting more drops.

The symbol of Avarice has highest item discovery of any helmet item. Prisoner hood wont make it better.

You could try the Gold Covetous serpent ring +2 but you will need to defeat NG+1 Gank Gargoyle Squad

Defeated the Gargoyel squad yesterday. In fact I've played up til the first bonfire in Earthen Peak now (after the Covetous Demon)

Will probably give the Shadows another try in the next few days.
