Is it worth to level up the sorcerer staff

Hi,

i just started a new deprived again and found a sorcerer staff in a hidden room. Think its the same as the staff you get for picking sorcerer. I plan on going magic with this charackter and want to know if its worth to up this staff or will i get a better one soon?

No higher than +4 if you're gonna level it up at all, but really, since you can get the archdrake staff not long after you kill the dragonrider in heide's tower of flame and talk to licia, then have her open huntsman's copse.... there's not much point in it, because the archdrake staff is better until a fair way into the game.

It is indeed the same, and is the only spot to obtain one outside of starting a Sorcerer or buying from the Magical-one in No-Mans Wharf.

That staff is well enough to last you near end-game, if you roll as a sorcerer, my pure INT account from a few weeks ago did wonders with that staff before switching to Wisdom.


The Sorceres staff has a very high cast-speed, so use it often!

With my mage characters, I usually upgrade it, I use it through almost half of the game and then switch to a most powerful one when I find it, because if you don't upgrade it at least a little bit you're stuck with low damage spells for a good chunk of the game.

A little bit but not a lot, since there are stronger ones you can get later on it won't do you any good upgrading it to +10 and then finding a better one 5 min later.
