whats a good staff to get for a sorcerer?

i just beat the mirror knight and ive been using the sorcerers staff since the beginning of the game, its now a sorcerers staff +8, just curoius to what staffs are better?

Depends on what you want to do with said staff.

If you want a fast-casting staff: Sorcerer's staff.
If you want the best int scaling staff: Staff of Wisdom.
If you want a staff that's good at casting hexes and magic: Sunset staff.
If you want a staff for the above but also with good cast speed: Sorcerer's staff.

ok thanks, are hexes good? and also i noticed you need both intelligence and faith to use them. do i upgrade faith or both of them to make hexes stronger.

Hexes scale to the lower of your faith or int stats. Hexes are generally faster moving than sorceries making them harder to dodge. Prior to the last two patches, one could say that hexes were OP.

Dark BNS (the stat that determines scaling for hexes) is affected by the LOWER of either faith or intelligence. Dark BNS caps out with 30 int/30 fth. Also, not all hexes can be cast with a staff, some require a chime.

And, if you're only doing PvE, you'll want to go for the Wisdom Staff for magic and Sunset Staff for hexes. Having a staff with fast casting speed is only really useful for people doing specific kinds of PvP builds.

Sorcerer's Staff casting speed: 135
Sunset Staff casting speed: 105

I do believe the Sorcerer's Staff has the fasting staff cast speed in the game. Don't quote me on that though.

If you want to use Hexes, better use Black Witch Staff so you can do the Chime Catalyst Hex. It's a super staff for all round buffing, get your quadbuff yo.
