You got lucky then. Any area with a NPC you need to be careful now. Especially since they can invade you in majula now.....
Im getting to this point too. While i havent come across any "dangerous" hackers, i think im gunna stop playing for now....which is sad because im half way through the new dlc and am enjoying it....
Not true. When there are hackers that can destroy gear (removing it from your inventory entirely), can lower youre stats, can brick your game, etc., there really isnt anywhere safe.
One reason i love this series IS because of the intergrated pvp. Where the state of the game is now, pvp is the worse aspect due to the fear of having your game ruined.
In any case, it's a question of how he wants to spend his time. He seems singularly obsessed with blacksmiths, presumably because it's an easy target. It's just this one guy doing it, if you avoid him you're golden.
