[Old iron king dlc]Confirmed..artorias is left handed
in the dlc there is the sword called the majestic greatsword which looks a lot like artorias's greatsword form dark souls one and in the description it is said that all prominent useres were left handed

Or FROM is trolling the fact people are WAY too obsessed with Artorias' dominant hand.

He wields it in his right in the DLC. Good enough for me.

Maybe he's ambidextrous.

possibly, but his left hand was broken when we fought him..still cant deny the fact that he was awesome boss fight. :)

Not Artorias but Abyss Greatsword.
It would be cool if we could find the sword that Sif used to fight us in DSI to enter in a memory where we could meet Artorias.
I hope there will be something like that in the next DLC, who knows, I might be dreaming too much.

Redpollar, thanks for the correction! and it would be awesome to meet artorias but it would not be probable as they dont have much of an impact in dark souls 2

thats guts from beserk.he is the inspiration for artorias.both Artorias and Guts, are unmatched with greatswords, and both have broken left arms (well guts' was technically cut off) .Artorias has Sif, while Guts wore wolf looking armor. they both are relatively same - Guts is lost in hatred, Artorias is posessed by the abyss. (Nothing here is a coincidence: Miyazaki has admitted that he loves Berserk and was inspired by it.)

actually im going to point out that when raime goes onto phase 2 he IS LEFT HANDED
Xara 30 AGO 2014 a las 5:39
From the discription I'd say Raime is this cycles Abysswalker. Only instead of making a Covenant to not get consumed, he willingly embraced the Dark and made it a part of himself.

Also the Greatsword is pretty ♥♥♥♥ right now. You can't Riposte, you can't Backstab. The only way to not get yourself killed with it is to either use it in PvE only or to dual-wield it with another weapon (which defeats the point of doing cool Artorias whirls). Not to mention it's super easy to parry and the downtime of the animations is basically so long you can fly to Australia, fight a Kangaroo, come back after 3 weeks of Hospital and still backstab.

Either make the damn thing work in the right hand or make it immune to parry. Either is fine, really.

He can't be left handed because when we fight him in aota he is using it in his right but even if he originally use it in his left hand that would make him ambidextrous because he can wield it in both hands effectively.

In his intro his left hand looks pretty limp. Also, it's probably a good idea that just because he's left handed doesn't mean he can't use the right hand. He will probably just be a little less skilled, which would give insight that if you fought him when he was at top condition(using his left hand), we would probably be ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Maybe a bit of reaching here, but it would probably be if Oro in streefighter used both of his hands.
