Dark souls 2 not installed?

Today when I sat down infront of my computer to play Dark souls 2, I Discover that the game is not installed. The weird thing is that it's supposed to be installed and I should be aware if I had uninstalled it... but it's showing that it needs to be installed.
The game files are still in the steam folder so why?

Is there away for me to access the game, to get it back in the library without having to reinstall it again?

Happen to me too. Just install it again and steam will recognize that it is already installed

Maybe because your DS2 game not installed in c:\program files\steam so you need to add your library game folder again if you have it other than c:\program files\steam from the setting menu. It happened to me few days ago all the game because i installed my game in d: drive but i don't know why.

My game was installed in the steam folder, I even checked it out once and it was there, could even start the game from the folder, though wasn't able to play since my game was not up to date for some reason.

Just make sure you don't missing this file appmanifest_236430.acf in the SteamApps folder . Because if its missing steam won't recognize the installation.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! I am MAD! I live at a place where we have a bad where we must use mobile internet and we have limited access to the web too... so I payed extra money so I would have enough GB to download and install it again... now today when I came back to play it once again... IT'S NOT INSTALLED! ARGH!

Try to backup your appmanifest_236430.acf (before you reinstall , if you in the middle of download that will be useless) and the darksouls game folder in steamapp/common try to make new library game folder and move those file there . You don't need to re download. And don't reinstall if this file is exist appmanifest_236430.acf . And make sure you defrag your drive and checkdisk to make sure that not the problem .
I live in place that have bad internet connection , i always download from my office and just move the game folder and appmanifest to my computer .
