Will I get banned for using a trainer offline?
I have beaten the game 3 times on different characters, and been experimenting with builds and other stuff, so what I want to know is will I get banned for using a trainer offline (To get the stuff for my build) and then going online (To test my build)?

Most likely, if you aren't the proper SM for your build/gear.

Nobody knows the logic behind it. All you will get is a bunch of guess work.

I'm not going to use it to adjust my SM, just to get like "infinite" (infinite while the trainer is activated) materials to fully upgrade equipment.

No, you won't get banned.

You'd get tagged for that as soon as you got online pretty much. If you're this concerned about getting banned, gut it out and make your build/gear loadout legitimately.

One of the first things they look through is inventory data on the save. That's how they identify megamulers that make their SM "legitimate" ranges on consoles.

you can use Cheat Engine to add items etc. and you won't get caught if you're in offline mode.
I personaly don't use it because its too much hassle for nothing

Lol, now you will get a ban, because you are saying that you wanna use a trainer. When you turn on-line again, you will probably get a ban in your ass.

How stupid can you be?

As long as you aren't interfering with other players on pvp to ruin their experience like some modders/hackers do, I see no reason why would you get banned ;3

I said once that I want to kill somebody while I was angry, should I get arrested?

Seeing how there is no ban, do what ya like. I mean have you read the forums lately with all the hacking going on and that is online which they do nothing about. Offline they will for sure not give 2 ♥♥♥♥♥.

Protip: If you want to cheat, simply make a new Steam account right away, link it with Family Share, log in to DS2 with the new account and cheat only with this new account. This way, you can keep your main account clean.

I'm pretty sure it checks all your data as soon as you Press Start on the Main Menu.

I wouldn't recommend using it unless you're always in Offline mode and manually get rid of the modified characters before starting the Menu in Online Mode.

Not worth it, imo. Make a new account and buy another copy there if you wish so you can have "playground" just for modding and cheating.

If they ever fix that work around it's likely going to flag the "Cd-Key" (product key) of the game and effectively "ban" all the accounts from playing with the shared product.

So if you cheat in a different account expecting it to not affect your main account, you may be in for some bad news sooner or later.
