What's all this fuss over the Chaos Blade?

Uchigatana has bettter base damage, better scaling (imo), and no self damage.

All Katanas are superior over other weapons. Most Katanas can deal more then my strength weapon.

Because when infused mine has 460 damgae half of what is dark when powerstanced with r2 i deal 1300 damage to gian lord on 300 level.

i got invaded by 7 chaos blade users. pretty hardcore. and every single one used the banana too

Uchi isn't better it has lower scales. And manslayer has same stats as uchi+poison but i think it's slower. And yes i use both chaos and uchi: chaos for dar damage and uchi for pure phys.

The Chaos Blade is the second longest Katana, meaning more phantom hits.

Most strength weapons cannot be compared to a Katana. Even a infused katana buffed matches up to the Giant Warrior Club.
Chaos blade still has S scaling when infused.

Blacksteel is better than chaos if you pure dex, uchi or manslayer if you want something with faster r2, berserk blade if you are quality build. And any type of parry for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Chaos Blade S DEX Scaling is more like B when infused. The letter means nothing. Infusion is good at low SL, when paired against GMB + Numbness it tickles. Strike is the best type of damage there is and Super Heavy weapon (STR) oneshot backstab/rispote like Mundane Dagger, in cases even better than Mundane because I can survive Mundane with Numbness but not Super Heavy.

If you are going for higher counter modifier, Infusion makes your damage worse. Counter modifier only works on physical.

But then again you play only 20 hours on PC, in be4 I play it on console too.

It seems you didn't dig into my profile enough, you stalker ;). Click my main account sweetheart (If you're lazy, I have 610 hours on there, and yes, I play console too ;D).

Anyways I'm glad you had a good counter post, however not everybody uses GMB or numbness (Who needs majicks?). I also have 60 strength, so I can wield it 100% fine. I can usually deal 700 damage in a single hit, but it seems Buffed Chaos Blades can too (without GMB). That's the reason they're more superior over practically any other weapon.

yeah it can from r2 attack if you half nude.

I wear a mixed set, gotta fashion souls. Anyways, I have usually 600-800 defense and I still take that. You really have to consider the speed though. It's pretty easy to dodge a strength weapon because it has a pretty slow windup then a somewhat faster release. While katana's overall have a speed similar to straight swords.

well katanas arent what they were in Dark Souls. They have slower swing speed, no bleed ( bleed is kind of pointless in Dark Souls 2 PVP) and most katanas deal about same damage that most greatswords do. And katanas durability sucks ass, just like all durabilities.

Well, they just have to fix scaling for infusions and physical before this game gets serious (along with hundreds of other things). Most people use infusions because it destroys phyiscal. I've fought a few phyiscal katanas and I don't mind them.
