Creepiest moment i had in Dark Souls 2

It happened in my very first NG run. I was happily hopping like Little Red Riding Hood in Aldia's Keep and after the dragon attack i decided to look what was behind it. So i proceeded straight and then LEFT. There were like 10 messages on the floor and so i decided to look what the messages said and everyone of them said "DON'T DARE!". At first i thought it was a troll so i wasn't scared but 10 seconds later i realize i was playing OFFLINE. In my head i was like: OMG DUDE WTF I PAYED FOR AN RPG NOT A HORROR GAME! Then i noticed the lever and obviously i pulled it. Even if there were just like 87489 messages telling me to don't do it. Thinking that it was all over, i went right and saw a guy on a chair at the end of the corridor...so i walked to him slowly because it was creepy, especially after experiencing the corridor at the left. When i finally interacted with him he said: "I've got another one to kill.." (or something like that)..."NOPE. I'M THE HELL OUT OF HERE." i said while pooping in my pants and running like a little girl chased by a pedobear.

Well guys, here is my creepiest moment in Dark Souls 2.

As for my creepiest...my first time in the gutter would have to be right up that alley...


I had been playing for several hours and had gotten lost a couple of times, but finally I'd reached the fog that I'd seen in the distance, seemingly so long ago...

Naturally, I assumed it was some kind of boss fight...and my friend whom I'd been chatting with through the steam interface basically told me to start clenching because I'd hate what was coming next.

But, no summon signs to be seen, and I wasn't feeling particularly patient...since I'd been invaded three times already...so I went ahead and decided to just suck it up and die to whatever boss lie beyond the fog.

And then...nothing...

The fog must have cleard (obviously) but I didn't notice...I was so completely focused on the imaginary boss I expected to come leaping at me at a moment's notice...

Then I saw the ladders...I knew that From expected me to climb down into that deep dark hole and THAT would be when the boss would rise up and make my ass it's own...

But only more hollows...

By the time I reached the next fog gate I realized that it wasn't a boss, just a zone divider...

But it was too late, I was already a gibbering wreck jumping at shadows...


So I went to bed instead.

Creepiest moment for me was, when i summoned Luca for smelter fight, and she didn't go thru fog gate and i stuck in the wall with my first roll.

The only one that comes to mind right now, is when Thomas invaded me in the dlc, he made the "this one's me" gesture... I was playing offline so that scared me somewhat, but then it turns out he has extremely good AI (for dark souls npcs standards).

Running though Majula looking for look only to find out one of those little piggies had followed me from behind the house to a tent and he killed me... I was like "WHAT THE F*CK WAS THAT"

The creepiest moment i had was from Dark souls 1, I was going to fight Nito and got invaded by paladin leeroy, nothing strange here, killed him, he didnt drop his equipment and dropped more than the souls than he normally drops, i guessed it was a glitch, but then i was invaded again, by paladin leeroy, this time he drops his equipment and the correct souls amount, i start thinking that maybe the first one was a cosplayer, but the last person met on games for windows live was from the day before.
