Question about Lucatiel

In order to complete her quest, she needs to survive 3 boss fights. I was fighting the rotten with her and she died, but I can summon her again to retry. does that count as one of the 3 victories If I win?

you can also repeat 1 the same boss on differnt ascetic levels. n it counts for the quest. do the flexible on ng, ascetic+1 n ascetic+2 n shes fine.

but yea you can retry until the boss dies, so if lucatiel dies first just homewardbone or logout.^^

Correct me if I'm wrong but... she doesn't appear in Aldia's Keep as an NPC until you have completed the 3 required battles. Talking to her as an NPC there means that you have succeeded the sidequest. You just cannot enter Aldia's Keep as her invasion marks the end of her questline.

You can just make it to the shack where the first bonfire in Aldia's Keep is, no further.

That's not Lucatiel that invades, it's her brother, Aslatiel.

First playthrough i failed the quest by talking to her here so i can confirm it. Plus i pulled this straight from the wiki:
(Warning: she will disappear from your game if you do not summon her three times prior to engaging her in a conversation in Aldia's keep, oddly you still can summon her even after she disappeared)(She has to survive all 3 boss fights when summoned in order for her to give you her gear. If this requirement is not met, she will still be here, but she will not give you the gear. This is the last chance you have to kill her and get it, or to turn back and use bonfire ascetics to refight a boss with her.)

Don't summon her at The Rotten fight, he/it destroy her in that fight. Summon for Lost Sinner, Flexile Sentry and Smelter Demon.

If you haven't had Lucatiel help you beat 3 boss battles (it can be the same boss using ascetics), don't approach her at Aldia's keep. Or, just kill her and take her stuff.

And the rotten is probably the easiest boss to ascetic if you wanna do it. No Man's Wharf is dangerous since she gets stuck/jumps on the water pretty often there

The problem is, the AI of Lucatiel is utter trash, so she always, ALWAYS end up in the fire pools in the boss room, and she tries do block *facepalm* the attacks of the Rotten, he destroys any block with that giant knife, she usually blocks the 2 or 3 smash that he does, she is horrible in that fight. Also, she takes a lot of damage in that fight, like, he can damage her a lot, while in the Smelter Demon, she takes like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ truck the hits.

yeah it's okay I beat the rotten with Lucatiel and some other player. On to the iron keep!
