Good place to farm petrified dragon bones?

...that is not Dragon Aerie? It's just long and boring. Are there any areas with good success rates? A guaranteed drop would be preferable, like a chest that can be respawned or something.

never tried it, but if i remember correctly there's one in aldia's keep, if the ascetic can respawn it, it's nice
or if it doesn't respawn, the acolytes drop dragon bones too

If you kill the weird dragon baby things in the DLC i think they drop some.

Kill gank squad, repeatedly. The whole area give you 3 bonfire ascetic, 2 brightbug and 3 petrified + 3 twinkling + 1 titanite slab for every gank squad dead. Need more people farming gank squad.

I fought the gank squad boss once and that's enough for me. Between the heat-seeking Dragon Tooth, infinite poise and a greatbow, I think they win.

Honestly the route posted above is great. 3 twinkies and 3 dragon bones per run is excellent - I just keep getting invaded.

No no, you must do gank squad. Guaranteed +1 epeen up every farm session. I'm at 7 intensity and one dragon tooth hit me for 1k+, berry funz much. Infinite brightbug, what more do you want?

But it nice to have for bosses in NG+ (+++++). So if you going to continue past Ng+ 8 it's going to be very useful. Of course you can't use while phantoms, but good to have in PVE when the enemies take inasne amount of damage.

Plus you could use while you are farming to kill the enemies easier. The Losers (the name of the dinosaurs, also drops Petrified Dragonbones, and the Bright bug would be good against them.

If you want to go old fashion farming and not have to worry about ruining an area you can try killing the Dragon Acolytes(http://darksouls2.wiki.fextralife.com/Dragon+Acolyte+Set) by the hidden bonfire in Aldia's Keep. There are more hidden behind paintings and one behind a wall that I believe the ogre thing needs to break down but will aggro when you go to farm the acolyte in later runs. I would recomend jesters hat, prisoner tatters, srepant ring, and rusted coin to get more bones.

Sloth, the way you posted is so much worse. In Shulva city you are guaranteed 3 twinkies and 3 petrifed bones per run, and it only takes about 2 minutes. The run you posted takes way longer and has less reward.
