why does my royal dirk suck?

i've been using a +10 dagger for a long time with a raw infusion, but switched to a +5 royal dirk with raw...and it sucks. the back attack doesn't do even half of that of the dagger. did i do something wrong or is dirk just not as good as dagger?

Ah, I remember there being such a weapon somewhere in my inventory.... Never used it much. That being said, the Raw infusion is generally a bad idea for weapons that have a semi-decent scaling. Perhaps you are better off when using a Mundane Royal Dirk on a Mundane build?

Dirk is a great weapon if you use it right. It's strength is in it's scaling. Also don't even try to hit crits with it, the crit modifier is awful. It's more of a straight sword than a dagger.

Royal dirk is not meant for crits.
