Game keeps shutting my monitor off!!!!!!!!!
I have reinstalled Steam and Dark Souls 2 i uninstalled my video card drivers and reinstalled fully updated them also. I enabled gpu scaling. Still this game and only this game not any other i play (Rift, Left forDead 2, Dota2, WoW) keeps making my monitor shut off my screen goes blue and says no signal detected i still get sound and seems my pc is still functioning correctly just i get no picture. Ive read plenty of other suggestions to fix the problem and still i have not found a permanent solution. I have stopped trying to play DS2 because i dont want to damage my brand new pc just yet specially the video card. Anyways going back to play DS2 on PS3 until they figure this game out on steam.

It's your PC dude not the games fault... They don't need to fix your problem.

yes when your hardware or your installed software is faulty that can cause the problem, believe it or not.
Ive ran thru reinstalling all my drivers and ran troubleshooting per steam's instructions and i can run games with higher requirements too much hassle if u ask me to play a game u paid for.

sounds like the game starts in the wrong resolution
Try starting the game in windowed mode by giving it the -window (-w) launch parameter on startup through porperties.

I'm not sure if that is the parameter so you might have to go look for yourself.

If you don't have anything useful to say, don't say it. "Buy a new Computer" is not an answer.

Go into C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Roaming\DarkSoulsII\GraphicsConfig.xml and try to set the resolution manually.

try taking your overclock out... i had the same issue with my old amd processor, the monitor would just stay black
Wasabi i have tried it with it on and off same issue but like i said its up and running now im hoping it was just wanting me to put it in windowed mode.

what graphics card do you own ? it could be a driver issue.. try reverting back to a older one
I had the same issue as well. Though my fix is rather different. I was using an hdmi cable from my PC to TV and that's when it went out. I went to Walmart and purchased a VGA cable and I haven't had the issue since.
