Traded great Boss Soul(Orange), now i cant open Shrine of Winter?

Hey guys, i traded a great boss soul i defeated for a boss weapon.. but now i miss this one orange soul and now i cant get into shrine of winter, what i can do now?

Reach 1 mil Soul Memory. You'll then be able to open it.

Wait, you have to have the Lord Souls in your inventory to open the Shrine of Winter? I always used them the moment I got it (unless I could trade it for a weapon I wanted).

If you traded or used the souls it still should open.

The souls you get from beating the four major bosses aren't the Great Souls you need to open the Shrine. As soon as you get the Great Soul Embraced message it sets a flag on your character that you have it, rather than adding an actual item to your inventory.

Did you remember to pick up the Great Soul after Freja? It appears in the boss room instead of being automatically obtained like the others.

As mentioned above, gaining the souls which appear in your inventory are NOT vital to progression. After defeating Old Iron King, The Lost Sinner and The Rotten; a message stating "Great Soul Embraced" will appear. Once you have defeated the Duke's Dear Freja, at the back of the boss arena a red glow will appear, reminiscent of your green death sign (minus the blood). Pick this up and it will show the above message; once you have all 4 you can proceed through the Shrine of Winter.

Alternatively, once your SM reaches 2 million (not 1), or 2 million above your initial SM upon entering NG+, you can open (manually) the door to The Shrine of Winter.

Doesn't the red glowing ball dissapear once you leave the area and didn't pick it up? If yes it's farming time for OP.

No, it's 1 million at start. I did that just yesterday because I had 999,000 SM in front of the Shrine and hadn't defeated the iron king, it was locked so I ate a Souls snack and then could open it.
