Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you need to burn a bonfire ascetic in the closest bonfire for this to work? I know that the giant memories are controlled by The Place Unbeknownst bonfire which is the one right after the door you need the King's Ring to open, but still, I'm not sure if this will work. Been a long time since I did this procedure and I did it in another account that had SOTFS thanks to this post:

Try downloading the Cheat Table under the General Tables section.

There's a script that was literally made to respawn everyone.

Changing the world flag thingy also respawns a NPC.

Apparently bonfire ascetics don't respawn npcs sadly

The "Respawn All NPCs" script doesn't function properly with the DS II cheat table. And unfortunately, the cheat tables for DS II and SotFS aren't identical, so the method illustrated in the forum post you linked will not work. I don't even think Captain Drummond was one of the NPCs available to respawn with that cheat table.

If anyone could figure out the method to do this, it would be a helpful resource to have publicly available. Considering I've done a few hours of research and testing, and haven't been able to come up with anything definitive.

I'll even throw some Steam money your way if anyone can figure it out

I'm actually interested in this one. I don't have much experience with vanilla ds2 CE. Too bad this forum is absolutely dead... r/DarkSouls2 is worth trying tho.
