Blue Flame for non-magic users?

So I'm doing a bit of Fashion Souls™ and I find the design of the Blue Flame sword just gorgeous.

Problem is I don't do magic and the sword says it requires 12 int (I only have like 7). I can handle the sword just fine and dual wielding with heidi sword feels good but I wonder about that requirement. Is the sword any weaker without it?

Also would it be stupid to infuse it with something else, like fire for instance? I'm worried the weapon will be really ineffective if I don't have a high int stat, although the int scaling is just a C.

weapon will be ineffective unless you have 12 int. The best infusion is "raw" on that weapon

Yeah, just tried it and it did minimal damage. At 12 will it at least do any decent damage? Also, thanks for the tip, definitely trying raw.

As zaboju suggested, if you make it raw, it will do good damage, because raw infusion removes any elemental (in this case magic) damage as well as most of the scaling. So your INT won't affect anything, you only need to care about meeting the base stats.

Raw is generally a bad infusion, however it benefits several elemental weapons, and weapons with little to no scaling.

It will also do a huge damage under the effect of aromatic ooze(with raw infusion). Also with that way of using this weapon u may also lower requirments for any spell like soul spear or Soul Greatsword (in any case it will be usefull to bind useless without spells r2 atack on blue flame or just take it in the left hand) for 12 and still do a huge damage with that spells even without big int stat. Also it may be usefull to watch video about mechanics of blue flame (it is more oriented on magic builds but maybe you can find something usefull there):

Always wanted to try magic in a DS game but never got around it. Maybe I'll try some spells when I have souls to spare (should be soon).
