Next sale?
Do you guys believe this game will go on sale when the steam summer sale happens?

If by 'this game' you mean DSII in general, then I recommend you buy the SotFS version (not this one), as it's better, more improved and has a bigger player-base. It's currently on sale on IndieGala: https://www.indiegala.com/store/product/335300

But if you want this version (aka vanilla), it hasn't been on sale on steam for a while now, and there's no way of knowing if it will be on sale during the summer sale. It wasn't on sale during the steam winter sale, so not really sure. If you want, keep an eye out on this page, it should say if it ever goes on sale and where: https://isthereanydeal.com/game/darksoulsii/history/

I would like this version. I already own scholar and I would like to 100% this game. I 100% dark souls PTDE, Dark Souls Remastered, Dark souls 2 scholar of the first Sin, and Dark Souls 3

Pretty impressive. Well, last time I saw it go on sale was on Gamersgate a couple of times, you don't need the season pass for the achievements, you can perfectly 100% the game without any DLC.

Keep this post up, if I see the game go on sale in the future, hopefully I'll remember to leave a comment here as a heads-up.

I'm in the same boat. DS2 vanilla is the only Dark Souls game I haven't completed yet and while I wouldn't pay full price for it I'd love to complete it too. Also, I've heard about it being less tedious and more atmospheric in some places (for example Heide Knight placement). Besides, it's a good excuse to play more Dark Souls. ^^ Keep me updated.
Some of the placements in vanilla are actually worse, it's kind of a tradeoff from what I've experienced between the two. There are a lot more 'ganks' where you get massed in places with weaker enemies and more ranged threats dotted around the areas but they're not all that hard to deal with. Some of DS2 Vanilla's areas were a little too easy overall.

I know. I 100% it in the Xbox 360 but I never played it since it's release. I still own the collectors edition of the game.

The vanilla version always goes on sale when SOTFS is, and for the same price.
It also comes with all DLCs.

Expect it to be in the summer sale.
