Does Watchdragon Parma increase Item Discovery?

So does it increase item discovery or it is only a SotFS game addition?
If it does increase item discovery than I wonder, if reinforcement of this item will increase this stat(value) as well?

if it says so it does
if it doesn't - it doesn't

it should have the same message as the prisonners hood or cloth on it

reinforcing it ( in case it does ) doesn't do anything
item drop is a hidden fixed stat which can be increased with fixed values ( to a max extend )

( wearing prissoner set + gold covetus + coin + your stock value is about as high as it gets )
( the values may be higher on other armorpieces, should look taht up... but the point remains :p )

those values are all fixed regardless of what you do
so all it will do is increase some defence values and stability ( which isn't exactly worth it unless it's a greatshield )

doesn't openly state so in base game though

don't know sotfs but to believe op they changed it to state so

that doesn't mean anything for basegame....

it was patched in trough v. 1.10
( they had the decency ( after begging and complaints ) to at least patch some stuff of sotfs back into basegame - so if you have steam set to update ( in case you own this since 2014 ) or you bought it recently it should be v1.11 by default .... aka it does indeed add +50 itemdiscovery :) )

Thanks. The reason I asked about this is - I am trying to farm covenant collectibles in order to increase level in it - for some reason(probably a very high level) I can't be summoned or invaded, so I am farming items - but their drop-rate is so low, that I am giving up hope already.

It does it's just vaguely hinted at in the description. If you remove all other item find gear but keep the watchdragon parma in your left hand (or any hand but your shield is meant to go on your left hand) you will still see the item discovery icon below your stamina bar. The main problem is that you get it at the very end of the main game in vanilla Dark Souls 2 but you can get it at the very beginning of the game if you can kill the red Drake in Heide's Tower of Flame in the Scholar Of The First Sin version of Dark Souls 2.

It's OK - I am at the end - only Throne Watchers, Nashandra and Scholar are left to deal with - so I am doing covenants now.
Took me 1.5 hours yesterday to farm 30 Mad Warriors at Belfry Sol.
And 2 hours to farm 10 Sunlight Medals from Mounted Beasts.
Having no white summoning signs shown sucks..
