using mods on ds2 can give me soft ban?
my notebook is a potato, i want to use mods to make the game to look worse, and then i can get more fps. the point is, even if the online is less common those days, i still like it to coop once in a while.

Yeah they really f*cked up by seperating the community. Remember how I said my laptop is a potato also? I can run this version of dark souls 2 fine and I can play online but sometimes I DO have minor framerate issues. If this version is also giving you trouble that's odd though because this version of dark souls 2 (and out of all the dark souls games in general) is really optimized for even low end pc's/laptops. Hopefully you can get a new laptop or computer soon. I REALLY just want to move onto dark souls 3 tbh even though there are still some builds I want to try out here :/.

Also I broke my R1 button on my controller a few days ago :(. Not even joking or making a "r1 spam" meme, lol. I let my anger get the best of me and slammed my controller against my desk :steamfacepalm:. It still kind of works but it kind of gets stuck when I click it so it's not really usable for any dark souls game (or any game that requires fast input from the r1 button).

tbh what i played of dark souls 3 so far is disapointed. i ddidnt like how ds3 is fast paced. i hate it. i need to continue it someday in my another pc. yeah ds2 run much smoother than ds1 on pcs.

iirc theres a software that allow you to remap xbox buttons. change it to like X or another button and abandon R1. controller companion may also help you.

I totally agree with you about how dark souls 3 is too fast paced. A lot of optional bosses I'll probably skip because they just don't seem to fit in the dark souls universe. Dark Souls 3 took too much inspiration from Bloodborne with it's combat and art style. On top of that they got rid of any real poise. They didn't even put in dark souls 2 poise (which once you got a lot of adp, fully upgraded heavy armor, and ring of giants+1 or +2 you basically had dark souls 1 poise). Enemies like the grave wardens before the cathedral of the deep do not belong in a dark souls game (I haven't really played the game yet i've just seen a bunch of playthroughs of it).

It's so stupid that vanilla dark souls 2 runs so smoothy yet dark souls 1 runs like complete sh*t.

Thanks for the tip about the controller. I have messed with remapping buttons but last time I did that it really screwed up my controller and for awhile I couldn't change it back to the normal settings (even when I got a new controller) or something. I think I should get a new controller somewhat soon so I think i'll just wait.
