FARMING Mastodon Halberd

Do you guys have any tips were and how I can farm this weapon, I want to replace my regular halberd with something better that has the same moveset and more poise damage. I have a bunch equpment to my discovery rate, I tried to farm the weapon in doors of pharros and outside drangleic castle, I always keep getting something else. The guy at doors of pharros is gone already.

join the company of covenants and farm primal knights (elephant duudz) from doors of pharros first bonfire i got like 8 of them already :P

As the above comment said, the Company of Champions(not company of covenants lul) will cause the Mastadon by the DoP bonfire to respawn. Just use lightning based stuff, cause he's standing in water.
