I already have DS2, but what is the difference between DS2 and DS:SOTFS?
I bought Dark Souls 2 a while a go but I never understood the difference between Dark Souls 2 and Scholar of the First Sin. Is there a difference and if there is, is it possible for me to get that content without having to buy the entire new game?

It's a remastered version, with different enemy placement and some changed items. It also includes all 3 DLCs.
Both are different games. You can get it as an ''upgrate'' for a few less money, but right now in HumbleBundle it's at 75% I think, what's pretty much the best you can get. You'd have to start it as a new game if you buy it.

Scholar of the First Sin is full of memes and nonsense enemy placments.
after DX11 upgrade free DLC , Scholar is just Alternative gameplay
if you want Enjoy DS2 buy it's All DLC instead

on contrast Scholar version has more active online players so keep that on note

Everything that people said above (except for Sir Latore) but I think the graphical improvements are worth it IF you have a laptop that can handle it. With a budget laptop it just gives you framerate issues all the time and will kick you out of co-op or pvp at the worse possible time. There's a video on my account of mine that's a perfect example.

Thanks Bearer of the Curse. Well I do have a decent laptop with an Nvidia Geforce GTX 960M. I think it should be able to handle it. My only concern is the whole weapon degredation thing. I heard it is tied to the Framerates and was wondering whether they fixed that from the initial PC launch

I think it was fixed. At least it's not really a problem. Anyway the durability of the weapon is the less of all DS, but you won't have to worry about it too much.
