Controller support or lack of?
Short question.
Since TSW3 do not support other than mouse/keyboard and gamepad.
is it the same in TSW4?
Was hoping to be able to use Heavy machinery sidepanel etc. instead of keyboard.
Would feel more like a sim than a console arcade game. (imho that is)

Or this controller, scroll down until you see the blue one... ;-)
https://www.fahrpult.com/Fahrpulte-Plug-and-Play/

But the link at the top should be interesting because you can use many other devices.

If I ever get the funds, I would buy that for sure. 😎😁👍

But depends which country / region you prefer, for US locos the Raildriver is the best (no wonder, it has the General Electric layout) but for German / Central European locos ("DB Einheitsführerstand" (DB common driver's desk), taken over to the "European driver's desk") the Raildriver doesn't work well. I play then with keyboard, changed the keys in TSW to the layout of Zusi 3 (which I prefer for German trains due to realism) because it's much better than the MSTS / Railworks layout -> for example PZB / Indusi and levers except direct (loco / independent) brake on numeric pad instead of scattered around on the keyboard.

For Run 8 (US freight) I've bought the Raildriver (TSW still lacked of Raildriver support at that time), but I had luck, some months later the Raildriver wasn't available as new device in Germany anymore (or for doubled price from scalpers on Amazon) and it's still today.

Thx, sticking to TSW3 for now then since what I understand the difference between the two is negligible :)

I actually ended up placing all brakes on my mouse (got 14 buttons) and the driving part in a standard WSAD pattern. The rest I'll have to look up in the cabin for now ^^
Tbh I find the mapping in this game (for me TSW3) very unintuitive, no logic to where you can find stuff. No grouping of controls ^^
But live, learn and adapt I guess :D

As I was going through the notification, I came across your post here and started thinking, I totally forgot about "CobraOne" on DTG forums, he has created A program and a way to use a JoyStick, you want to have a look and see what he has created and if it's of any use for you.

That's the one which is also linked on the page from the driver desk builder. But on my link it's much easier to find than searching across the DTG forum and in that thread.

Both are going to the same Dropbox archive.

@GenX-Gamore: You don't need to make a full quote for a direct reply, it bloats only up the posts (scroll-a-thon).

The reason why I posted to the Author's thread on DTG forums is if anyone has Questions or concerns, go directly to the source.
True I have to do that, it would be nice if Steam would roll that up like it is DTG, but at the same time, multiple posts by the same person in one thread can be viewed as spamming the thread.
