Special edition on offer opinion
Hello,

I have seen that the special edition version is now for €16.99. Is it worth the purchase?

Bugs issue, performance, what do you think? Can the jerks I've heard about be solved?

I have an i7 10700k, 16GB Ram and an RTX4070ti super version

Thank you.

Well at the sale price, it's at and what you get for that price, yeah I would say it's worth it, even with some of the bugs. If I didn't have it already, I would get it, heck I got it at 10% off on release and that was not a great deal. It also depends on what interests you.

Depends. This game is about driving trains in real time, real distance and all in a simulated environment. There also are a bunch of tools to create your own content, but that requires a lot of skills and patience. Do like the idea being a train driver? If not Euro 0,00 is to expensive. Otherwise the game runs well. You may experience stutter, especially if you run for the first time because the game needs to fil some chaches in the graphics card. Depending on your system, this may disappear later. You also will need a lot of disk space. I use about 250Gb for this game.

Hello,

I am a fan of trains. I've been playing Train Sim word 2 and I love it. I see that in Train Sim 4, it is much more realistic, some new routes and trains and it seems that the special edition is the most complete.

I have read that it had some errors and stuttering and for this reason I was wondering if it is worth the price of the offer.

Many thanks!

In reality, TSW4 is no different than TSW2, I have own TSW1/2020 TSW2, TSW3, and TSW4, all on PC, and they did make some improvements in TSW4. The way you can set up your HUD is that you can spawn trains "you own" Yes some new routes have been created, but what you have in TSW2 will or it should Transfer over to TSW4 that is if you do get it.
Now that I know that you own TSW2, and if you choose to purchase the TSW4 special edition, you in effect will have more trains and tasks to choose from.

To piggyback onto this discussion, what if one's specs were an i7 7700k, 16 GB RAM, and a GTX 1070? Would it look and run like absolute trash?

Asking for a friend because I would never have such an out-of-date PC. Oh, and said friend also already owns TSW2 if that makes a difference in whether it would be worth upgrading with those specs. Thanks all!

I have similar specs to what your friend has (apart from having 32 GB of memory, but that doesn't matter with TSW), and TSW4 runs just as well as the previous versions (TSW2/3) did. If he's happy with how TSW2 works on his system, he should be fine. It will look and run the same as long as he keeps his settings and resolution the same.
