Problem with DB BR 218
Apparently there is some problem with the acceleration of the locomotive, when you drive it outside "Hamburg - Lubeck", on all other roads the selector on the rear panel "MU Selector" is in the ZWS position and when in this position the locomotive picks up speed very slowly, even if gear selection is set to"Fast" and in most cases cannot go more than 60-70 km/h and when there is an uphill it is impossible. Even if I want to return it to KWS position which gives fast acceleration nothing happens, I don't know if this switch has anything to do with the whole description, but notice that when you play Hamburg Lubeck that MU selector is on the KWS position and when choose another route for example Mann Spessart Bahn switch is in ZWS position.

It depends on the formation of the train whether you have to set ZWS or KWS:

The MU System selector has nothing to do with achievable speeds. This is not the most powerfull locomotive in the world. When you run heavy trains it will accelerate quite slowly and might not get to the top speed. And especially in the fast gear the max power is quite limited but the mas speed is 140kph. For heavy trains use the slow gear to gain more tractive effort but lower max speed of only 100kph.

Hello Maik,

is there a way to change the Zugart/Bremsart? Shortcut for increase/decrease Zugart does not work sadly.

That should already work. There is a input identifier appplied to that switch. What the exact shortcut is depends on the platform you play on. You should be able to to see that in the settings for keybinds or controller mappings.

Thank you for the reply on a weekend.

I play with keyboard and tried the "EU PZB / Indusi Mode Decrease" / " EU PZB / Indusi Mode Increase / Toggle" shortcut which I bound to Ctrl + Shift + Page Down and Ctrl + Shift + Page Up

Maik,

I am talking only for passenger services and has nothing to do with that if its powerful locomotive or not. When the switch is in KWS its gain acceleration very fast and it goes to 140 km/h very easy, but when its in ZWS its struggle to gain speed, thats all ive been noticed for now. I haven't driven it yet on fraight services. The comment bellow my post says that its depends on what formation "coaches" you are driving it, dont know if thats the case.

i dont now th edifference between KWS and ZWS and for what for they are and when tu use ?
But if driving cargo and switch to cargo mode the loco does have a more power but only reaches 100km/h.

Is the input described in my reply the right one? And do you know why it is not working correctly? Am I doing something wrong? I tried to bind it to a other key combination but it is still not working.
