HELP - dlc not working
I recently bought TSW4 and have tsw2 dlc i want to use. Some of the DLC works, however others don't. All my dlc does come up as owned content in the store though.

Weirdly, the ones i can use have a tick in the store, and the others just say owned

It doesn't work that way. You can't move it from TSW2 to 4, it just won't work. You have to have the TSW3 version and you get the TWS4 version for free when you buy the game. And it's only what you own. So, if you own Horseshoe Curve in TSW2 but not in TSW3 you have to buy the TSW4-compatible version of Horseshoe Curve. Now, if you own let's say Sherman Hill in TSW3 and you buy TSW4 you would get the TSW4 version for free because you already own it in TSW3. There's no other way around it.

No. You should never have to buy any DLC twice. If you own a DLC for any of the previous TSW versions, you'll automatically get the TSW4 compatible version as long as they all are on the same platform (i.e. Steam). Absolutely no need to buy it again.
I have a whole bunch of DLC from TSW2, and I got the TSW4 compatible version for all of them automatically and free. And all of them work just fine, including the East Coastway and Bakerloo Line.
Your screenshots just show the in-game store. Don't you see those 'Owned' routes within the game, in your list of available routes?

If you have problems accessing your DLC collection, you should raise a ticket with DTG support.

click on "manage dlcs" on the library page for TSW4, untick every single one of them, then SLOWLY retick them, they should start downloading, it is clear that TSW recognises you own these DLC's, they just haven't installed so you need to remind TSW that it needs to download them

This is very untrue, I bought TSW2 but skipped 3 then jumped to 4, and ALL of my TSW2 dlc's carried over; so No, you do NOT need TSW3 and you do NOT need to rebuy everything

That was never stated in that way, it was stated that you own TSW3 and it transfers over to TSW4 FREE, DTG implied it in this way, and they did neglect to state as long as you own it Period, be it TSW2 or TSW3. TSW2 was clearly left out of any discussions.

As for my statement, "it was Copy Paste" from TSW2 over to TSW4, moving them in this manner is what will not work, having the DLCs re-download with TSW4 is different, and this I did not know or even think of doing simply because of the way DTG explained it.

I stand corrected
now I know. Seeing that you worked out how to do this, you may want to put a guide together showing and explaining what to do and how.

Hello! I'd like to help here.

Firstly, to clarify with compatible add-ons into TSW4, you need to buy the content with the "TSW4 compatible version" tag on the store name. We have separate versions that work for TSW2/3 than we do for TSW4, which occurred with the nature of us transferring our add-ons and is why you may find multiple listings of the same route when searching for it on Steam. Keep an eye on the store names, and you will also notice the TSW4 Compatible variant has a special sticker on the thumbnail too.

I appreciate this is confusing, if you've accidentally made a purchase in error, please get in contact with our support teams: https://dovetailgames.freshdesk.com/support/home

If you're able to provide some proof with screenshots of the purchase, we can provide your account with the intended version. We do not want you to have to purchase anything twice!

I hope this helps,
DTG Alex

Update:

East coastway tsw4 compatible was on deal so i decided to buy it. Bit disappointing as i bought tsw4 in hopes to carry over my old dlc. Hopefully when tsw5 releases i will be able to carry over all my dlc.
