(Solved) Error in amdxx64 - Game keeps crashing to desktop...
Anyone else had this issue, and if so - Is there a fix?

I keep getting the Unreal Engine crash handler pop up with amdxx64 being the issue.

System is as follows:
Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Radeon RX 6950 XT, 64GB DDR4 RAM, 4TB NVME and Windows 11.

Do this:

- remove all mods
- remove all engine.in settings you added
- make sure windows is fully updated
- make sure your graphics card is fully updated
- make sure your hardware meets the minimum requirements for this game
- you can try to verify the local game cache

If ithis is not helping, it is likely you have a hardware problem with your computer.
WE cannot help you with that.

Had the same problem. Went through the hardware and software trouble shooting. Came down to the graphics card. It was 99.99 % working except while running TSW or TSC. Replaced the GPU and all is working now

It seems that other gamers encountered this problem: https://community.amd.com/t5/drivers-software/game-crashes-on-launch-faulting-module-amdxx64-dll-ver-31-0/td-p/564616

Good find. I'd agree with the OP of that thread it's Windows updates messing with Radeon drivers or features.

I clean install Radeon drivers (Version 24.3.1) just to be sure and from further searching found a thread on Reddit about UE4 and UE5 games hanging or app crashing with ENHANCED SYNC being enabled. AMD in their infinite wisdom enable it by default on supported GPU's and I'd never given it a 2nd look.

I turned it off and it was night and day - no more crashes. So of anyone sees this in the future and has the same issue, just DISABLE the Enhanced Sync feature in Radeon control panel.
