Using Dust Storm to gain elevation!
I'm not sure if this is already known, and if it is I apologize for posting it again. Throughout the game I've been traveling quickly from zone to zone by using the Dust storm, attacking twice in the air to prevent myself from losing much elevation, and then continuing with another Dust Storm. Obviously, even though the third attack lifts you slightly you can't use it because it makes right click turn into an entirely different attack. I discovered however that if you use the Dust Storm quickly enough (canceling the third attack animation) you can get it off. This causes you to gain an unlimited amount of elevation and basically lets you "fly".
It's pretty cool, I'm not sure if this was exactly intended, as it does let you get places you shouldn't be able to until later in the game. Then again, it's not something people would accidentally do probably, so I doubt it's an issue. I'm a pretty big fan of advanced techniques in games, so I think it adds a little flavor. This obviously only works if you have enough room to Dust Storm back and forth. Either way, I thought I would post it in case no one else had yet.

It is intended afaik, there are some collectables that you can't get to without doing this.

Eh? No there's not, you get the double jump for all those TW.

In many cases where I cbb waiting for say the air jump, I just dragged a few monsters into the air with Fidget's first ability, then dust stormed after them. Where you can get enemies, you can get the elevation.

Tactical Wombat is correct, there are at least a couple instances where you 'must' use the Dust Storm to collect certain items. The ability to fly around the screen was intentional, and a big part of the combat.

was double jump added because using dust storm to fly up is a bit difficult?

It's a known speedrunning trick, and it's actually intentional to find some secrets, such as Bandage Girl's cage in the forest. Hell when I was backtracking, I was D.Storm flying instead of walking 95% of the time due to the boost in speed.
