That's a good question. She's sorta cat-like so I guess despite her relative naivité she might be quite old still and have simply had a very relaxed, detached and quiet life (mostly consisting of sleeping and resting).

The only hting mentioned about it is that they have been guarding the sword for hundreds of years right? They never really say if she was alive that long, or what she was. I'm sure they live quite long, but not hundreds of years.

Perhaps she sleeps when the sword does. It would allow her to be chronologically old, but naive to the ways of the world.

Alternately, being locked up in a cave with a sword does not leave a lot of room for catching up on the rumour mill.

Well it is only stated that *her clan* has been guarding the sword for two hundred years. Thus we are not told when she started guarding the sword. Perhaps there are only a few Nimbats in her clan left and they share the duty of guarding the sword with weekly (or so) changing shifts which would also explain why no other nimbats were worried and came looking for her.
Btw, could you possibly flag the thread as spoilery?

Now go sleep and don't worry...
Now that was actually not what I was worried/thinking about. Which, for me, is actually almost surprising. I actually very much endorse the absence of maincharacter romance in Dust:AET. It would not really have befitted Dust's role within the story.

Naaaah, she's too cutesy and wootsy to even imagine something in that direction.
I want a lifesize plushy of her. For cuddles. That would be so awesome.

But at least now you don't have to.

Okay, I can do that, sorry for not doing that sooner.

If you're asking if she's over 16, I hate to burst your bubble, but there's probably still laws against that.

She's the furry version of a fairy. She could very well be centuries older than Dust.

It's suggested that her "tribe" has been guarding the sword for centuries and that she'd get in trouble for having lost it, which makes me think she isn't very old like the archetypical fairy.

She will probably mangle your face if you try to
apply that laws to her. She really doesn't like to be treated like a pet.

It is known:
- she is well less than 200 years
- she is considered relatively young among their tribe
- she doesn't have much experience
My bet - between 14 and 20.
