Multiple Endings (possible spoilers)
We know that Dust is part of Cassius and Jin, but are there three separate ending?
Ending 1) Dust follows the path of Jin
Ending 2) Dust follows the path of Cassius
Ending 3) Dust follows the path of Dust

...or is there only one ending (regardless of the choice and dialogue you choose in-game)?

Those kind of endings are so overused. It is kinda sad how the game ends but seriously I just don't like when games end with you dying (unless it really is a good thing).
In this game there was no point of Dust dying. It was just because he was too powerless to get out of a cave... So lame and stupid. Rather see him die because of needing to sacrifice himself to kill Gaius.
Just my opinion.

Heh, 5 years late, but I'd like to mention that his life were created with magic of Moonblood. Two souls were put into a re-animated body of Cassius and when he fulfilled his destiny that magic finished as well. He didn't die because he couldn't get out of the cave. He did die because his destiny were fulfilled and nothing sustained his questionably alive body anymore. Even if he'd get out of the cave he'd still die.

However, if you remember what happened at the very end right before the credit you'll noticed that his revival were hinted there. Likely through his own will and power rather than someone's else magic.

So, his death were inevitable, yet it looks like he got better in the end. But that we'll ever know only if sequel will be released. And there are still none.

I think there's only one, as youtube suggested. If there are multiple endings someone would have uploaded them from the xbox version.

It's better to have one good ending than multiple mediocre ones, which is almost always a case in multiple ending games.

And as I remember, there was only one paragon / renegade decision and even that was just a sidequest.

Those choices presented to us at that part of the game was really just an Illusion of Choice. No matter what we would have Chosen, Fidget would have said something to make Dust Question whatever you picked leading up to the point where he finally decides in his final confrontation with General Gaius.
It really wouldn't have made any sense if you were to side with Gaius at the end, too. Would he just forget about all the deeds he's done, do a complete 180 in his character's personality and side with Gaius? Nope, and who would the last boss be, the Elder? It wouldn't work unless the game would've had moral choices throughout, and even then that wouldn't have been a wise decision.

I tried two of choises, and they have one result - Dust can't really say anything.

Still, I had feeling like Gaius had damn good reason to do this. We saw only one side in the game. I also wouldn't mind to have "A plague o' both your houses" ending.

I think than the game just have 1 ending. Its a nice ending. I like it.

The game has only one ending due to time constraints.

Originally, Gaius would not have been the main villain but some unknown other being, presented in a whole new 6th chapter, and you would have learned a lot more about Gaius's motivations, too.

However, there was not enough time and it had to be cut. Noogie wrote a thread somewhere about the development process. Unfortunately I dont remeber where anymore, but google should find it. It's pretty interesting.

Man that sucks. Don't get me wrong, the ending was superb. But I have to do another playthrough for my last 2 achievements, but I don't want my soul crushed by sadness again :/

I'd think it would have not such a sad ending what should have happened as for 1 more is a happy one where he ends up not DIEING! and being with the girl or something....about on the lines of that * shrugs * don't you think? it would be nice not to have your soul crushing sadniss ending each time and have a happy ending ...just my feelings :P i love the hex out of this game and would love to play it again but i don't want to be sad again T-T
