PS3 wired controller, how to get it working?
I can't seem to get my PS3 controller to work at all for this game, have tried using motioninjoy even and can't figure out right now how to get it to work with the game at all. I would try and figure it out right now, but sadly about to prepare for two back-to-back shifts at work for the holiday, so no time now to tweak and mess around with any settings or finding new programs/drivers. Would love if anyone whose gotten it to work with their PS3 controller could tell me the method so that I can enjoy this game right after getting off of work on sunday, or know of what gamepads/usb controllers would work for the game.

My wired PS3 Controller does work with MotioninJoy 0.7.1001 for this. Load the USB Driver in the Driver Manager. I use the Xbox 360 Controller Emulator Option hope you get it to work. Before you start the game in Steam load up Motioninjoy and make an Vibration Test if you get vibration then your Controller is recognised and configured correctly and you can load up the game.

what LoCaD said.MotioninJoy never let me down in any kind of game.
If you've previously had your PS3 pad working on your PC:

I've found that sometimes in MotionInJoy I have to "refresh" the loaded gamepad emulation mode. To do that I open DS3 Tool, make sure under Select One Mode I have Xbox 360 Controller emulation selected (with Xinput-Default) and click the Options link on that row.

If you hear the USB Connected/Disconnected windows sound you should be set. You don't need to change any of the bindings in that screen.

If you've never gotten it working, you may need to enable unsigned drivers. That's a common thing that causes MotionInJoy to not work. There's plenty of guides online on how to do that.

I'm using without a problem with MotionInJoy driver. But, with 'Better DS3' ( http://betterds3.ciebiera.net/ ). It's MUCH better and easier than the original DS3 Tool, and no ads!

Just create a new Profile as "XInput", click on "Auto Fill: XBox 360". Save and Apply. Done. :p2chell:

Just remember to hit "enable" when you turn it on, and to start it before you load the game. I always gforget to turn it on before I start the game since I rarely use a gamepad. It never works if I start the game before DS3.

I have windows 8.1 and had a lot of problems with MotioninJoy, in fact I couldn't figure a way to recognize my controller. Now I'm using a program Xpadder, google it and it will work on every game on steam. What the program does is associate the keyboard buttons with the controller, it's very easy to configure. You may have to create an association for each game you play, but still a much easier way in my opinion. And it's working on windows 8.1. Hope it helps...
